About Kingsbury
A Small Town
With a Long Story.
Kingsbury is a small town standing on a very large piece of history. During the Second World War this ground held the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant, one of the biggest munitions works in the country. What is left of that land is now the Kingsbury Industrial Park, still one of the busiest employers in the county.
The rest of Kingsbury belongs to the outdoors. The Kingsbury Fish & Wildlife Area spreads across thousands of acres of marsh, woodland and restored prairie, and on an autumn morning its parking areas fill up long before most kitchens have warmed up.
