South of La Porte, where the county roads slow down. Union Mills orders come off the same griddle as everything else we cook.
About Union Mills
Union Mills is an unincorporated community south of La Porte, named the way a good deal of northern Indiana was named — for the mills that once worked the creek running through it. The mills went. The name and the crossroads stayed.
It is a small, settled, family sort of place, where the same names turn up on the same mailboxes for generations and weekend breakfast is a proper event rather than a quick stop on the way to something else.
Why Grandma's
Weekend breakfast deserves better than cereal, and a full table rarely wants the same thing. Order a spread: pancakes for the kids, a skillet for whoever is driving, and our vegan options for anyone the rest of the menu leaves out. It all arrives together.
Tofu scrambled, Daiya cheese, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, green peppers and American fries.
Served with two bacon or two links. Twelve and under.
Avocado, bacon, tomatoes and spinach.
Three of a few hundred. See everything on the full menu, then order online.

How It Works
Grandma's delivers within a 10-mile radius of our kitchen at 502 State Street in La Porte, and there is only one kitchen — everything we deliver is cooked in it. Whether your address falls inside that range is confirmed at checkout on the online menu; if it does not, carryout and dine-in are always open.
