About Rolling Prairie
Named for
the Ground Itself.
Rolling Prairie sits on the old road east, strung along US 20 between La Porte and the state line. The name is simply the truth of the place: long, gently rolling country that was tallgrass prairie before it became some of the better farmland in northern Indiana.
It is the sort of community where the grain trucks are moving before the commuters are, and where everybody knows whose field is whose. Nobody out here pretends breakfast is optional. It is a working meal.
