Delivery Area · Our Home Town
Grandma's has been cooking on State Street since 2015, in the middle of the Maple City. If you live in La Porte, you are not really in our delivery area — you are our neighborhood.
About La Porte
La Porte is the county seat, and the town the rest of La Porte County orbits: a courthouse, a downtown strung along Lincolnway, and a chain of lakes — Pine, Stone and Clear — pressed right up against the neighborhoods. French traders gave it the name; la porte means the door, for the natural gap in the forest that opened the way west.
It is also a town that eats early. Shift changes, school runs, the lakes in summer and the courthouse crowd at noon — the day here starts well before seven, which is exactly why our doors do too.
Why Grandma's
You are in the right place, and you are closer to it than anyone else on this list. Every order leaves 502 State Street, so La Porte deliveries spend the least time in the car — pancakes still hot, consomé still steaming. And if you would rather come to us, the dining room is right here.
Our #1 seller, and the plate the kitchen is judged on.
Tortilla chips in homemade green or red salsa, onions, sour cream, mexican cheese and two eggs.
Mozzarella, cilantro and onion on corn or flour, with consomé for dipping.
Three of a few hundred. See everything on the full menu, then order online.
